Easy Summer Drinks To Help You Slim Down

Is it just me, or are vacation cocktails somehow better than normal cocktails? Whatever it is that makes them taste so darn good is most likely NOT good for your waistline. These vacation-inspired drinks are not only tastier than what you’d get from a hotel bar, they’re healthier too.

The secret to making these cocktails healthy is to add SkinnyFit Detox or ZzzTox. Both are packed with superfood ingredients that help fight bloating—which we all know can be a total buzzkill when you’re on holiday. They also boost your metabolism and keep you looking and feeling slim!

Are you ready to find out what they are yet?! Here are our top 5 healthy summer cocktails inspired by your favorite travel destinations:

When it’s mixed with SkinnyFit Detox, a delightfully subtle peach tea, it’s a match made in heaven. Trust me, you’ll love it!

3. French 75, France… sort of.

Ooh la la, a French 75? C’est Magnifique! Okay, okay, you caught me… a French 75 isn’t ACTUALLY from France. In fact, it was created in New York City and named after the French 75-mm field gun! But, for the sake of our list, we can just pretend that it is.🤫

A traditional French 75 contains gin, champagne, and sugar, but not this sexy cocktail! We swap out the sugar for a simple and flavorful homemade lavender syrup that truly makes you feel like you’re enjoying a romantic dinner under the Eiffel Tower. Can someone queue the accordions, please?

Prep time: 5 minutes

Cook time: 10 minutes

Total time: 15 minutes

Yields: 1 cocktail

How To Make A Lavender French 75 Cocktail

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ oz. gin
  • ¾ oz. fresh lemon juice
  • ½ oz. lavender simple syrup*
  • 2-3 oz. sparkling wine/champagne
  • *2 tea bags SkinnyFit ZzzTox, opened for loose leaf (for the lavender simple syrup)
  • *½ cup water (for the lavender simple syrup)
  • *½ cup sugar (for the lavender simple syrup)
  • lemon twist & fresh lavender flowers (optional)

Instructions

  1. *For the lavender simple syrup: Add the ZzzTox tea leaves, sugar, and water in a small saucepan.
  2. Bring to a boil and cook until the sugar dissolves.
  3. Let the lavender simple syrup cool.
  4. Strain into a clean glass container, store in refrigerator if needed.
  5. *For the cocktail: Combine the gin, fresh lemon juice and lavender syrup in a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
  6. Shake and strain into a coupe or champagne flute.
  7. Top with sparkling wine, garnish with lemon and lavender flowers and serve.

Packed with lime, mint, and coconut rum, this healthy summer cocktail has all the right ingredients to keep those summer vibes high and you feeling nice and cool. But we’ve made a few tweaks to really spruce up the coconut flavor, and of course, the health factor!

Prep time: 5 minutes

Cook time: 5 minutes

How To Make A Coconut Mojito

  • 4 oz. coconut water
  • 8 oz. SkinnyFit Detox

  1. In the bottom of a tall glass, muddle the fresh mint and lime wedges until the limes are juiced. If you don’t have a muddler, you can use the end of a long wooden spoon!

  3. Add ice and top with sparkling water. Garnish with more mint leaves and a fresh lime wedge.

  • 1 oz fresh orange juice (squeezed from the orange)

  3. Fill a cocktail mixer with ice and add all of the ingredients into the mixer.
