Curb cravings, brighten your smile, and clean the house with the same ingredient? Sure! Apple cider vinegar is a powerful ingredient proven to control blood sugar levels, whiten teeth, and reduce risk of heart disease.

This detox tea recipe provides a sweet, flavorful punch while boosting metabolism. This fall, avoid the “ick” of apple cider vinegar and enjoy your apple-a-day with our sweet Apple Tea-ni Detox recipe…hot or iced

Apples

These fall beauties are rich in disease-fighting antioxidants and dietary fiber (4 grams per medium apple!). Because apples are high in fiber, they keep us full before workouts or in between meals. Pectin, a fiber found in the fruit, acts as a prebiotic by feeding the good bacteria in our guts. Don’t forget to leave the skin on when snacking! Most of the antioxidant effects are a result of polyphenols found in the skin of the apple.

Apple Cider Vinegar

This ancient health tonic has been used for centuries and dates back to Hippocrates’ medical treatments in 420 BC. Apple cider vinegar helps maintain blood sugar levels by improving insulin sensitivity during meals. Acetic acid in vinegar kills harmful bacteria and can be used as a disinfectant or preservative. A small dosage of 1-2 tablespoons a day can have positive, long term effects on heart health.
